Hammer at rest
« on: September 23, 2016, 07:27:09 PM »
Hi All, Just picked up a '93 83. I noticed that the hammer doesn't rest against the frame of the pistol when it's not purposely cocked. Is this normal?

As a test, I dry fired with a piece of paper in front of the firing pin. The paper had a nice hole in the middle of it. Thanks for the link AZ, I searched and for some reason couldn't find the thread.

Even better is to put a pencil down the barrel and pull the trigger. You'll be surprised at how far the pencil flies!

Thanks AZ!

No problem! I posted the same question years ago so I like to pass on the favor.
