Pistol + Sling (alone)
« on: February 18, 2019, 12:35:13 PM »
I "think" I will prefer not to add a brace or stock to my Scorpion pistol that I am waiting impatiently to received from Bud!!!
I would like to avoid any extra "bulk".  Maybe I will later change my mind.   :-\

(FedEX is not running today ( President's Day )......ugh!!)  :'(

In the meantime ..... does anyone steady and then fire their Scorpion using a single point sling on the rear of the gun which is wrapped around their body or neck?

Hiya and thx for the thread Rode and happy presidents day, thats not to political I hope ha. I tried the sling and yes you will like it to shoot the pistol. What I ended up doing related to my C.A.R. style is just spend the extra for a vertical mag pull grip. It also keeps me from the worry of grip slap leading to a hand ending up where it could get hurt. And not sure for your city or country laws, it could me a tax stamp to run the grip on it. Be well.

OP - I bought my Scorpion when it first came out, and have been using a Blue Force VCAS sling since day 1, but as 2 point.   I would sling it tight, the receiver end of the sling would function like the butt stock where my cheek would press/rest against.

It worked but not comfortable nor natural, as you can imagine, I have to PUSH the Scorpion towards the front in order to sling tight (so I have a ?cheek weld?) ...  this is completely the reverse in shooting with a stock when we are to PULL the stock towards the shoulder pocket.

2 months ago I drank the folder/brace cool aid ...  never been happier, but have no regret for taking all these time ... we now many more options to choose from, and in the used market too...   I bought mine used ? saved me some bucks.

The scorpion now shoots like a completely different gun ...  like day and night difference!   :-)
