Worldwide CZ pistols info
« on: June 30, 2016, 06:56:36 PM »
Hello group, I am trying to find out which countries and forces have used the CZ 75 as an official pistol.  Wiki has some basic info but I am looking for actual model numbers, years used, variant, etc.
I am trying to find/purchase one of each of these CZ pistols for my CZ collection.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

CZ has always made models "to order" if the contract was large enough.  There are some interesting variants out there, from what I understand.  The Czech language sources indicate that the decocker models are all spin-offs from the Brazilian Police contract.

Any of these lists are potentially misleading/confusing.  Most nations do not have a strict delineation between their militaries and various law enforcement agencies.  For example, Wikipedia states "Brazilian Armed Forces."  It is very well documented that CZ sold many thousands of 75 BD variants to the Brazilian National Police.  Did their army also buy some?  I sure don't know.

I have no idea of how governmental purchasing works in Spain.  Municipal police?  Is that every city in Spain, or for example, just Cartagena and Madrid?  Again, no clue.

No real point or axe to grind, just pointing out that we may never know.
