I do not have a P-01 but I have the P-07, PCR and a steel framed compact. I prefer the PCR and compact for carry as they are a bit thinner (especially the steel frame compact) in the frame than the P-07 and less blocky. I use the P-07 as the night stand gun.
This will really come down to your preference though as all anyone can give is their own opinions.

I've had a P-07 Gen2 and now have a P-01.  I know that the website doesn't list the weight as being much different but I think the P-07 feels noticeably lighter - to me.  Overall size wise, they are VERY VERY close....I personally don't feel that one will conceal much better than the other for my carry position (appendix). I do prefer that the P01 only has controls on one side vs the both sides like the P07- keeps the overall width slimmer.  Depending on your hand size, you could get the P-01 really thin with the appropriate grips.  The grip width on the P-07 is already very thin and is actually one of the reasons I got rid of it....I have long but thin hands and the gip on the P-07 just want wide enough for me to get a good purchase on it...though this lends itself to CCW. Both great choices, both slim....very comparable to a Glock 19 in my experience..I gave one of those too.  One final note, I do prefer my P-01, my Glock 19, and my previous p-07 for CCW compared to my VP9 and P320.

27.36oz for the PCR and 32.48oz for the standard steel compact.  In my opinion its a significant enough amount to consider one of the alloy compacts.  The downside to the alloy guns is that the frame is noticeably wider vs the steel frame compact.

i carry my P-01 with stock grips in a black mamba ce holster at 3-3:30 and it conceals pretty well.

As the weather gets warmer i still have the same setup with shorts and a large polo short untucked.

I have a P-02 but usually carry a S&W shield or a j frame. The P-02 is my heavier carry gun and it carries very well. I just need decocker levers for it...
snakeye, no worries, I don't need someone in a leotard. :)

CZ Custom Protek 1.  It hurts when you write the check, but it is a great EDC gun.

Edit:  You Could just grab a PCR and do a CGW upgrade and get close for less money.  That would work too.

I carry the 75 Compact all steel frame every day, and love it! Caveat is that I carry it in my man purse, so weight isn't an issue. Yeah, it's off body. Yeah, I have to practice a new type of draw. Yeah, I'm playing the odds I am not in a situation where I have an old school cowboy quick draw shoot out. (I'm actually playing the odds I'm held up for money and I have to get into my man purse, so I comply and then wham, pistol instead of wallet, just like the people do from on body concealment.)
Anyways, I digress to my main point. The 75 Compact is heavy and I recommend the lighter pistols generally. BUT I shot my first USPSA match with my 75 Compact a few weeks ago and placed 5th in the match for Limited on the qualifier stage with it (turn and draw, 2 shots on 3 targets, reload, 2 shots on 3 targets). The gun is so well balanced, absorbs recoil, transitions great, has an incredible trigger, and shoots like a dream. If you don't mind decockers get the PCR and do a little polishing and what not and you have an incredible carry pistol like the all steel frame 75 Compact.
This is all just preferences. If money weren't a limiting factor for me I would try decocker versions or get a Rami and a Compact or Full Size slide on it. As my final opinion, Please CZ... work your magic and make a single stack pistol with all the goodness you put into pistols!

I'am 5'6" and 160lbs, and carry the cz 75 compact all steel and feel very confident in it !!!!! I just like the steel and the hammer. You would get used to the weight of anything that you carry on a daily basis.

I like the PCR because it does not have a light rail like the other two and conceals easier for me.  I also carry a Shield.

Recommend you try some out first. At least go to your LGS to fondle each if possible. Each gun has its own characteristics and feel in the hand.

Think you can't go wrong with either, think all can suit you well and meet your needs easily. Key is what fits you best (& your wallet best)

I have a P09 that I love, and recently got a P01 Omega that I prefer over the standard P01. But that's because it's similar in action & feel to P09 (actually feels better in the hand)

Good luck

I am a huge fan of the P07... It is just a great all around gun.

My current carry is an Urban Grey model. I used to own a few of the steel-framed CZs but greatly prefer polymer. The weight savings allows me to comfortably carry with a weaponlight and I greatly prefer the geometry and serrations of the Gen2 P-07/P-09 slide. The controls are a better fit for my hands as well.

The best thing to do is rent a few models and see what clicks with you!
