I'm cutting down an old drill bit to use as a decocker sear slave pin. I need to remove the sear controls intact to bead blast my frame for cerakote. So the length of the slave pin is needed. Thanks.

Disregard. I just ordered the slave pin with start punch and some other upgrades from CGW, including spring kit and floating trigger pin.

If it's only temporary, why not use the hammer spring retention pin? (the one at the bottom at the grip). Has the perfect length.

Alternatively, a piece of q-tip will work.

bleep. Thanks. I ordered it and the punch from CGW. But good to know. Yes it will be temporary. I'm disassembling the gun to cerakote it. I'm doing the frame first then the slide.

Straight from our instructions:

The slave pin should be approximately .106? OD x .680" long with a radius on one end
