75D PCR Recoil spring/Guide rod issue?
« on: August 02, 2016, 10:55:48 AM »
Just recently purchased this less than a week ago. After stripping it and cleaning it after some trouble with FTF's at the range went from 147 to 115 gr (may have something to do with it?) though I also read something pertaining to the factory magazines being the issue(?). Oiling it and putting it back together the guide rod protrudes slightly when there is one in the chamber. Along with that the slide doesn't go forward all the way as seen in the pics (Sorry for the quality, my phone is horrid.)  I've taken it apart multiple times flipped the spring around.  As far as I can see the spring doesn't have a difference coil wise from one to the next.  I've seated the rod correctly as far as I know, but it doesn't seem to change anything. What am I doing wrong?

FTF??
failure to feed or to fire??
sounds like  the bullet (projectile) isn't fitting your chamber and so the weapon is not going to full battery?
what type of  projectile profile was the 2 different weight  ammo?

They were the same type of Remington ammo, I'm looking at the box and it says its the pistol & revolver cartridges. Green box UMC. It was a failure to fire, I kept the bullets that the hammer hit and there are markings on there. All I heard was the pin hit, nothing, waited 30 seconds, cleared the round, did it again and the same thing. It ended up not firing anymore after a certain point. I had no more 147 grain though and was left with the 115 I had.  I came home, cleaned everything and oiled it.  Reassembled it and that's when I noticed that.

Fixed the guide rod issue, was my own doing there.  Got into contact with CZ and said something in the firing pin must be broken.  Going to send it to them and see what is going on with it.
