Case Securing Screw

Thats the official name that CZ calls it.  I call it the hex screw on the underside of lower that you have to access through the trigger guard.

Did the weld break through you guys.  Worked perfectly.  Got my new HBI trigger kit and new trigger.  Installation:  Beside the tigger spring and the disconnector being a bitch, easy.  Except the above named screw fits too loose.  Are we supposed to replace the nut on the bottom of the trigger case?  Has anyone had this issue?  Can anyone point me in the right direction?  Thank you.

I did mine too.  I replaced the screw with a new one from one of the aftermarket companies.  There is no nut to replace.  I think the nut you are referring to is the welded sleeve that's on the original screw.  Did you drill too deep removing the screw, thus removing some of the treads in the trigger case?

Thats what I'm thinking.  Not being a gunsmith, this might sound crazy but would a larger size screw work?  Or get a nut for the top to hold in place?

You can buy a new case for $18.00 from CZ USA when they are back in stock.  In order to use a bigger screw you would have to drill and tap the case, not ideal.  You might be able to use the same screw that you have, but buy a longer one.  You might be able to find a longer one at the hardware store and then use a nut on the other side to secure the screw, but not ideal either.  Again, I would just buy a new case.

My welded washer came off pretty easy with the use of a Dremel and some diamond bits. I too was concerned about the remaining threads in the trigger box, so I used a HB Industries replacement screw, and a drop or two of purple Loctite, the screw is pretty snug,  Time will tell.
