If you shoot 100,000 rounds of factory ammunition, you have put about $20,000 on ammunition through your $600 pistol.  If a major part breaks, it has earned it!

Well said!  ;D

  • Is it broken? Then why are you fixing it?

They won't hurt anything. They do create a perfect environment for your gun to not cycle properly when used in conjunction with match ammo and a light recoil spring. You cannot damage your gun by using shock buffers. They will eventually start to come apart if you don't inspect them when performing regular maint. on your gun so just look at it every few hundred rounds to make sure it's still in one piece and isn't starting to crack. No cracks? No chunks missing? Gtg

Wife: Is it broken?
Me: No.
Wife: Then why does it need to be fixed?
Me: I knew you wouldn't understand.
Me: You're way smarter than I am babe.
Wife: Ok, so if it's not broken and not fixed, what exactly is it?
Me: It's taking time Hun. Just taking some time.

I like the springco recoil reducers and have them on most of my guns. It gives you a secondary spring to reduce recoil impulse. The concept has been proven in the HK USP series of pistols, but I found many skeptics here.
