PCC was my excuse to buy a Scorpion, but I haven't shot it yet because the SBR paperwork isn't back yet.
I don't think you'll need a sling for PCC. My understanding is that you will approach the line muzzle up, chamber flag in place. When the RO give the load and make ready command, he'll take your chamber flag. When you are finished and clear, he give you the chamber flag back and you leave the line muzzle up. The exact sequence will depend on the specific club, but I don't think the sling is necessary.
Otherwise, my favorite sling for a carbine is the VTAC padded.
I made my own magazine holders with Kydex and a Tekloc. They are not the prettiest things around, but they hold the magazines securely and come out nicely, too. I believe there is a vendor who is selling something similar for about $40 each. These version do look very good, as you might expect.
For most stages, you probably will not need to reload, even if you have a makeup shot or two. The rare long stage requires one reload, max (assuming you started with 30). There are magazine extensions that are coming out that should bring total capacity up to 33 rnds.
There are some YouTube videos of folks using the Scorpion in the PCC division. Pretty cool and should be fun.
How do you like your Vortex Venom? Does it sit low enough to co-witness the iron sights?
