Marschal Grips on my CZ97

So after a couple of months wait time, I finally received my Marschal grips for my CZ97. Have to admit they look and feel amazing. The level of control is far superior over the cocobolo grips. But I have one gripe, and it's kind of a big one...I didn't realize the thumb rest would block the mag release button with my firing hand. Obviously it's still functional but I have to use my offhand. I don't want to send the grips back nor do I want to wait another 2 1/2 months for another set. Anybody have suggestions? My only thought so far is to sand down the tip of the thumb rest a bit just to allow the thumb to reach the release button.

Good looking 97. One option for the mag release might be to get an extended mag release made. While there is no factory extended mag release for the CZ 97, you can have a shadow extended mag release modded to fit the CZ 97s round mag release hole. CGW offers this service.

I purchased a set of these used and found the same issue, kind of surprising to me but I love the feel and look of the grips. Thinking of the extended mag release but not a necessity for me as this is a range and fun gun. The 97 is hands down my favorite 45 I own.
