Will CZ USA fix my '82?
« on: October 28, 2016, 08:10:17 AM »
Good day all.

So My vz 82 is in a bad way. after cocking and firing it goes into a half cocked (like me sometimes ;D) state and needs to be cocked to fire again.

Obviously this is not a good situation and I cannot even dream of carrying the gun in this condition.

I have had it to a local gunsmith and he was baffled. I am not a gunsmith and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night so my question is... If I call CZ USA will they even care about this gun?

Or, if could anyone point me to someone that would be willing to fix it?

Thanks in advance everybody.
I have a CZ and some other guns.
I really want to have more. That's not a bad thing.

Best to call and ask.

Sounds like you need a new sear spring though from what you're saying.

Sounds me too. And that means complete disassembly and reassembly of gun   :o
( otherwise you have DAO pistol   ;)  )

I have not yet. With the holidays and all I haven't done it yet. I will probably call them after the 1st of the year.

I emailed and looked into that for mine.
$95 minimum charge (plus whatever parts are needed).
You can only ship it to them next day FedEx, UPS or DHL. Look into those rates and it's like $75 and up and UP.
Plus shipping back through a FFL intermediary, and those fees.  :-[
CZ-75B | CZ-75 PCR | CZ-82 | CZ Kadet Kit (sold) | CZ-75A in Airsoft | And ... um ... other brands

I was under the impression that if you already owned the gun that it didn't have to go through an FFL.
Dang if that is not correct then that gets awfully pricey.

They can return your repaired firearm direct to you without going through an FFL. I've been through that before. If they replace the serial numbered part (usually the frame or receiver), then the services of an FFL will be required.

You should probably just sell it to me and the problem would go away.

Find a FFL who will ship it out for you, and receive it back, and you'll save on shipping (usually).
