I hear you Painter,
'nuff said. I like the brand. All my CZs are quality rifles and shoot way above their price point. Perfect? What is? Good value? Absolutely!

We have major issues transporting firearms across multiple jurisdictions with widely varying regulations - almost no carrier will handle them and it is prohibitively expensive. It is, effectively, like shipping across four separate countries with each having different hoops to jump through.
Returns are always to the dealer who decides if it is an issue worth referring on to the distributor. Typically, we don't have the option to deal direct with the distributor. In the meantime, the consumer is out of pocket for around $2000 (my CZ527 cost $1670 + $170 "noting fee" + scope + mounts etc) and is without their rifle for a couple of months. It is a strong motivation to sort it out ourselves.

Let's drop this - it's going nowhere.
Jim

Like I said Jim, good luck with your issue.
I had the right to remain silent...

They've asked me to send the magazine back, but I hate to send the only mag I've got back.  I guess I'll purchase another one before I send the malfunctioning one off.  And just FYI, their service so far has been great.  I've received emails back from them in a timely manner.

I have the CZ 572 American in .223
I adjusted the trigger and when I put it back together. Now the magazine release doesn't work very smooth. I have to really push it hard to get it to release.

Try loosening the bolts a little, one at a time until the mag goes in and out easily..

Haven't received much feedback on another forum about the Barnes TSX other than I may not be able to seat the bullet close enough to the lands to get any accuracy out of them.  The magazine will limit my overall length.  i may just stick with the Nosler BT.

Other way around- Unlike most other jacketed.& cast bullets which like to be snugged right up to the throat, or even contacting it/engraving slightly when the bolt closes, the Barnes solid copper bullets want to be WELL BACK from contacting the throat for best accuracy. At least .005, and I have some that like to be .015 back, or even more.

I loaded some 55gr TTSX in the CZ 527 .221 fireball, 1 in 12 twist? Should not have stabilized. But they did, out to 100 yards at least, no keyholes. Will have to look for the targets and the data.
