75 Compact Standard Safety Alloy ever made?
« on: January 05, 2017, 10:34:56 PM »
Hi Guys,

I'm a pretty experienced shooter but relatively new to CZ pistols.  I picked up a used CZ75b and found that it had a good feel in the hand and was very easy to shoot well compared to some of my other favorite pistols which took me a little while to learn to shoot accurately.  I then got a 75 Compact with thoughts of using it for CCW but I find it a bit heavy.

Did CZ ever make a 75 Compact with an alloy frame?  I know about the PCR and P01 but I prefer the standard manual safety.  I also know about the P01 Omega, but I prefer the slim lines of the Compact without the rail, and I suspect the Omega trigger is not as nice as the standard trigger with the manual safety.

Thanks

Not in production, to my knowledge. One member found an import on gun  broker that he then restored. Pretty sure it was Birds Away. Haven't heard of any others. I'm with you though, I'd buy a manual safety PCR for CCW in a heartbeat,  because I love my classic 75 Compact.

They are rare but there are a few out there---I picked up this one from CZ Custom last year....really expensive, but it has every goody that a person could want.  I also found one for sale on this forum a few years ago

Yes, I have two of them.  They are Israeli surplus and show up from time to time on Gunbroker.

Canik or Tristar have exactly what you're looking for and CZ mags fit.
When did it change from "We the people" to "screw the people"?

Why use 911 when it's faster to use 1911 or 9mm?

The Tristar (Canik) C-100 is exactly what you are looking for.

Thanks for the replies. I would prefer a CZ over the Tristar.  I will keep an eye on Gunbroker.

Sometimes you have to ask to make sure it is an alloy frame.  Good luck on the hunt.  I look for them all the time.
