HB trigger pack hardware refresh kit question
« on: March 26, 2017, 06:16:17 PM »
So I ordered this kit when I ordered my springs. The site shows the selector screws and trigger pin to be stainless steel, so clearly not what CZ is using.

But what I received were items that appear very similar to the original parts in black oxide or the like. The screws are magnetic, though not definitive for alloys of stainless.

What are folks receiving and has their been info (I was not able to find on search) that they are using something else and blackening to keep factory look, or are they just sending out CZ parts for those 3 items.

@erichp - You are very observant! And we need to update that picture on our webstore... The picture shows stainless steel roll pins and selector screws. We switched over to alloy steel selector screws last year (or maybe even towards the end of 2015?). They are black oxide coated, same as factory. The roll pin for the trigger is also steel, black oxide and wax coated for corrosion resistance. Again, same as factory.

Not that anything was wrong with stainless hardware, we just had early feedback from customers preferring a factory match on the alloy steel and black oxide finished hardware. So in the spirit of continuous improvement, we switched.

Great I appreciate the quick response. And great to hear your folks keep in touch with the feedback and embrace potential for improvement. I do like em black!  Great vids too, they were helpful.

Quick question on the return spring. The factory and picture (I know those pics again!) of your replacement show a straight short leg, but you've added a bend on the them. What did you find that does? I would think it would preload the sping a bit and add perceived pull weight.
