Need Help - CZ 70 in .32 Cal.

Speaking with a friend a few days ago, it came to light that he has a small box of parts, frame slide barrel, etc, which he believes contains a complete CZ 70 in .32 Cal. My son, who works part time in a gun store and has been studying Gunsmithing and Dura Coat Painting on guns, was asked by my friend, if he would like to try and put it pack together and get it running.

My son will try to do it but we are looking for a schematic / breakdown of the CZ 70 and so far we have not been able to find one. Any information or help will be appreciated.

He might to do some polishing and smoothing on it too.  Maybe replace Part #8 (Firing Pin Lock Spring) with a lighter one and lighten up the Hammer Spring (Part #25) a tad. 

Besides polishing the sear and trigger interface (such as the Trigger Bar/Part #28), polishing the outside of the Firing Pin Lock (#9), the bar where the hammer spring rides on the Hammer Strut (#24), and the channel in the Slide where the Firing Pin Lock moves through (as well as the Firing Pin itself), there have been reports that the Trigger Bar may rub the interior wall of the Sideplate (#39) which may have rough machining marks inside.

A heavy Firing Pin Lock Spring (original stock) really can add significantly to a heavy trigger pull on these little guns.

Is the CZ 50 basically the same as the CZ 70?

Yes, it is. Mainly cosmetic changes otherwise the same.

Resurrecting thread since I like those pistols, some people put the CZ50 grips in the CZ70.

The 50 grips fit fine on the 70, but might need to trim a bit around the safety lever opening on the left grip. The Bakelite is easy to sand.
