I just received a factory-new CZ-75B compact with the rail, safety, and steel-frame.
I was shocked to find that the single-action trigger is quite gritty; you can actually
hear the stick-slip sounds of the Coulomb friction as you are pulling the trigger.

To me this was a surprise since my CZ-75BD-Police has a *great* SA trigger and my
polished-stainless CZ-75B has a good (acceptable) SA trigger.

My question is just this:  If I am unhappy, as described above, will CZ-USA allow
me to return the gun, while they pay the shipping to return it?

Just as extra information the gun was manufactured in 2016 and says "CIP" on it
with an "N" right below the "CIP".

Although I rarely use the safety, I also noticed that the safety is too easy
to flip-off, a huge difference compared to my polished-stainless CZ-75B.

I guess you could try calling CZ USA. When you say return it, you mean have them look at it, or do you mean return and get your money back?
If it was me, I'd give it a thorough cleaning and relube. If that didn't help, I'd polish it up (like I've had to do on all mine). There was a thread a couple days ago about the safety. You can get extra power springs for it.

By return, I meant either (i) if they can *truly* fix it, I would take the fixed gun or (ii) money back.  (But I don't want
to have to pay shipping.)
I am surprised you have had to polish all of your CZ-75B's.  Every Bulgarian makarov I have bought
arrived with a great trigger -- I never had to do anything...including all the un-issued ones...

I probably didn't "have to" polish. I should have said chose to polish. Trigger feel is subjective and personal.
They were ok, but after finding this forum, the polishing threads, and CGW/CZC, they're awesome. I've learned that I like to tinker with them. YMMV.

Just to add.... CZ should take care of you. I've not heard of anyone having to pay to ship their pistol back. I would call and not Email. They'll probably send you a shipping label.

Give CZ USA a call and explain your issue. My fist of those pistols had a pretty rough Single Action trigger too. Ultimately I put the CZC Competition Hammer in all mine so I didn't bother to smooth it out or call CZ.

This isn't to dissuade you from contacting CZ or demean your frustration, just a recommendation... The CZC Competition Hammer is my favorite upgrade and I highly recommend it. Cajun Gun Works has made their own Ring Hammer that is supposed to be a total drop in part while providing a much improved trigger.

I'm with cntrydawwwg. Just another recommendation is some polishing will make your pistol even better. Again, not saying that you shouldn't call CZ, just things for after the fact.

If you haven't seen this, here's the thread on this model. You'll see my complaining of my single action in there.
