Having problems replacing sights on my C100
« on: February 25, 2017, 09:54:08 PM »
The setup I exactly the same as both my CZ75B. I replaced them with no issues. The C100 seems incredibly tight and I don't want to break anything. The front pin came out incredibly easy, however, neither front will budge using a punch and hammer.

Also, if it comes to it how much does a gunsmith charge?

Out here, it was $50 to have a gunsmith do a sight exchange on a Ruger P-89 (and that one requires two holes to be drilled in the new front sight blade for the pins)
I don't look like my avatar!

If you drove the pin out and its just stuck I would spray it with some WD 40 and let it sit for an hour or so. I have had success doing that in the past. I spray it making sure to get it in the spaces, come back maybe 30 minutes later spray it some more and then after an hour or so and a couple of beers .. have at it again and it breaks free.
I have seen prices for a smith to do it vary from $35 to nearly $100 so shop around. Going rate is about $50 though as stated.
