CZ-97B magazine capacity

The SAR K2 is marginally shorter front-to-back and a good bit thicker at the hand grips. Sadly the K2 fits my had much better than my beloved 97 IMHO.
I did add a Dawson Machine PARA Hi-cap +2 mag extension to my cut-and-welded, extended 97 magazine. It now holds 19 rounds. With 19+1 in the 97 the gun weighs over three pounds! However you only need to reload a couple of times on a typical day at the range...Ha!
The same Dawson mag extension on my SAR K2 gives me 16+1 capacity and it is still a great gun for cancelled carry!

Not sure how to post pics on the forum but basically you mill off a mec-gar mag at the square cut out and Tig weld it to the bottom of the other mec-gar mag. I then add a Henning Tanfoglio large frame base pad and it gives me 19+1 of 45ACP!!!
Might be illegal in Nazifornia but their's always trade off's...
There are a couple of base pads you can use to bring the stock 97 mags to 12+1...
The Ariando plastic pads for the PARA 45's fit nicely and are inexpensive...about $18 ea.
You can also use the Henning Tanfoglio USPSA magazine pad but they are hediously expensive.
The Hennings are anodized aluminum and also give you 12+1...
I use the henning's on my 97B open race gun with the Springer CZ75 mag well that fits nicely with a little fiddling.
