Rami fiber sight installation and part Number

Hi All

I received the Dawson Part #050-738 front sight for Colt Defender 1911, but Dave of Cajun Gun Work told me to order it for Rami. Removal of the stock sight took more time, around 10 minutes using flat screw driver wrapped in tape. Dawson Part is 8.00mm wide,  slightly wider than stock 7.9mm, used some quick filing to make it fit. Installation takes around 8 minutes. Result is per pictures, pretty good IMO.

Hey Texas, can you be a bit more specific. I did a search on the Dawson site and the number doesn't come up. Just descriptions of the various Colt Defenders and they all have different numbers.  I'd like to order one. They look nice.  Is the POI the same as stock?  Thanks,  and does the green rod come with it?

Sorry for replying your so late,  I actually call Dawson and tell him the part number Dawson Part #050-738, that guy will guide you how to find it on their website. It only has one height

I use the stock rear sight

Each height has its own part number, so go with 050-738, call them to confirm.

Actually the sight is for Colt defender, so dont go to the CZ sight section. https://dawsonprecision.com/colt-1911-defender-fiber-optic-front-sights/ The sight is 0.130 high
