I am wondering if the people having trouble are putting the slide in a padded vise. I can vise one up and 3 good whacks and the stock bushing is out.

I don't own a vise, so it was more difficult, but I was able to make it work with a block of wood.

Not having a firmly mounted vise to put the slide in makes it double tough to get the old bushing out.

Truer truth has never been spoken. Used a block on my first one and a piece of crap vice on my second one. They sucked!!

Indeed, a firmly mounted vise and going up to 11mm socket did the trick for me today. 5 of 6 good blows and the bushing finally came out. CGW bushing went in with a few taps with rubber mallet and the sight pin groove lined up perfectly.

The best $100 you can spend on a standard CZ 75/85 is a Fiber Optic front sight and the Cajun 10X bushing.  Shoot the new gun for a few hundred rounds, change the sight and the bushing and you will be amazed at the difference.  Shoot another few hundred rounds and them do the easy parts swap and easy polishing and see how much better the trigger feels.

Installed our first the other day.

The 11MM socket and 1/4" extension with a hammer worked like a charm.  It is a fairly new CZ 75 SA so it's been kept well oiled.  The bushing started out on the 2nd or 3rd strike of the hammer and came on out on the next one.

The new CGW bushing pushed in with my thumb.  Just the difference from one slide to the next, I suppose.

I've got one more bushing left.  I will most likely use it on my project CZ 75 Compact when I send it out for refinishing once the frame mods. are completed.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

The 11mm socket, extension, and Allen key was a good solution. Mine is a pretty much brand new and an SP-01. That bushing did not want to budge. I got an ice cube and rubbed it around the inside of the bushing for about 6 seconds and then I got her to let go. I had my new bushing in the freezer for several days and it went it pretty easily. A dozen or so strikes with the nylon head.

60 seconds... not 6.
