CZ75B SA - pre-travel reduction
« on: September 03, 2017, 10:22:05 PM »
I've got a NIB factory SA model that I'd like to reduce the pretravel on.  It has a firing pin block, and I do not want to remove or defeat it.

What are my options for removing the pretravel slack as much as possible without messing with firing pin block removal?  A trigger with pre-travel holes drilled/tapped, fitting an oversized disconnector with the wings removed, or something else that I'm missing?

Any guides you could point me to would be of help as well.

Thanks,
Mike

CGW has the 5SAO trigger that has pre- and post- travel adjustment screws. You can take up some pretravel with it but having the FPB in place will limit the amount of travel that can be removed.

If you're ever going to carry the gun leaving the FBP in place is the smart move.

I put the 5SAO trigger on all four of my CZs, planning on taking up pretravel. Never got around to doing it. Shooting at the range you subconsciously take up the pretravel before starting the final trigger pull.
When the knock on the door said “Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms,” naturally I thought it was a delivery…

I had excellent result with CZ SAO flat trigger on the same gun, but I also replaced hammer with competition one.
I replaced rear sight with CZ Tactical one and a taller FO front - really liked that combo.

CZ75B SA - pre-travel reduction

I mainly shoot DA/SA Sigs for IDPA, but am going to introduce the CZ for USPSA matches - can't disable any safety features for those, hence the question.

First upgrade will be sights, then hammer/sear work, and while I'm in there I want to limit the pre-travel - I've always been hesitant about screws, as I've had them move when it's far from convient.

If I stumble across a shadow, well, the FPB limitation is out the window.  What pretravel reductions can be done on that?  Again, looking for more than just a trigger - I've seen some with near 1911 trigger travel and I'd like to approach that if possible.
