Not sure why I didn't think of this sooner, but if anyone wants a cross between an RMRs unobstructed view and a Reflex sight durability, the Trijicon RX series are great.

RX34 42mm,  RX06 24mm for example

I put a Burris fast fire on my car I e for a while. I replaced it with a Bushnell tr25. I just like the bigger optic better. But my astigmatism hates red dots. I with the spitfire 1x would mount low like the trs25, but from what I can tell they all run a riser for an ar.

(And I'm broke and can't afford the good stuff)

The riser is removable on the standard Spitfire. (They make an AR version with an AAA battery compartment in a fixed riser. I have one on an AR and it is a great setup for that gun.)
