CZ USA Scorpion Stock
« on: May 12, 2017, 09:29:47 PM »
I got a stock to make a brace from CZ USA.  Should this stock have USA markings on it? I was under the impression it was made in the USA from them.  If not what is the difference between this one and the original.   I know it doesn't matter for a pistol,  but will be using for a SBR In the future.

Does it say US made on the website? I have never gotten worried about 922r. Never heard of anyone ever being charged, ever. Just confusing bullbleep rules to scare people in to not owning something.

If it's a scorpion oem stock they are not made in the usa. I am unaware of any American  company making an oem copy.  If you assumed it was USA because the company is CZ USA  your wrong they are just an importer.

Is the stock in the compliance kit made in USA? Or is that why it comes with other parts.

Is the adapter for the CZ Custom Stock polymer or aluminum?

If your intention is to make a pistol brace then 922r does not apply to pistols so don't worry about.

OP stated that their intention was to eventually SBR it.

Even then 922r is for importers not consumers. On top of that a US made disconnector available from CZ USA and US made magazine base pads and followers, also available from CZ USA at a reasonable cost, will put him into 922r compliance at a quarter of the price for a US made stock.  The CZ mags are now coming with US base pads and followers anyways.  There are other cheaper ways to get 922r compliance if that is a worrisome issue to someone.  The stock only counts as one part and other parts would still have to be changed.

Edit** A US made muzzle device is also needed to properly meet the parts requirement. All readily available which allows use of the CZ factory stock.
