First look into cz rifles, found an excellent condition 452 2E for $400

Is this a good/fair price for these?

The 452 has been discontinued in the right hand version for some years now. Left handed are still for sale. Every once in a while they're batches for sale. Just recently Damascus had some for sale new around 475$ and sold out real quick. These were 452 Americans. So I would say 400$ is a good deal if everything is in very good condition.

@ catdaddy2: Thanks for the reply. I am going to go see it and, unless I see any major flaws, will get it for sure.

Going to post pic in this area of the forum if I bring it home to see what exactly it is... I've read the comparisons of beechwood v. walnut = trainer v. lux but am still confused.

This one has irons so at least I know it's not an American; hopefully someone here will identify it.

Yes, it is a walnut Lux (according to serial researched by the folks at CZ) Sure looks different, I really like it and am looking forward to the first visit to the range.

This past Saturday was the 2nd time at the range with the 452, shooting offhand at 25 yards for now until I can get outside. I am very pleased and impressed with the iron sights. Still struggling to find my point of aim (elevation is spot on 90% of the time but windage is less consistent. So much fun to shoot and learn with, very glad I found this when I did :D

I ended up putting a DIP 25 moa rail on mine and then Burris High dee zee rings so the bell of the scope would clear the rear sight. Alot of people remove the rear sight but I wanted mine to remain just in case.
