UTG Key Mod Side Mount Bipod for Tavor
« on: September 22, 2017, 03:29:57 PM »
When the Tavor first came out several years back, you can google pictures of it in use by the IDF with side mount bipods attached to the hand guard (near where it meets the barrel). These were never made available commercially.  Now while side mount bipods have been around, They were either bulky, too expensive or very cheaply made. There's also the bipod that attaches to the grip-trigger guard which works but makes the Tavor look like a bird.

I saw this UTG variant early this year and thought this might be the nearest thing to the IDF issued bipod for the Tavor. I currently have the aluminum hand guard with key mod slots, the one from across the border. The UTGs come in key mod, M-Lok. I got the former and here it is ......don't know if it is robust enough for actual field use but so far, it works.

Here it is tucked in backwards....does not impede any of the functions and is totally out of the way.

and forward.
