TRP trade?

I have one 1911 left, a stainless Springfield TRP.  I don't like to shoot it and rarely do.  I own 5 CZs and love them.  Should I sell the TRP and buy a 97 (bd preferred)?   Are the ergos similar to the CZs that I love?  I have zero experience with the 97 series, but would like at least on pistol in .45.  anyone have any suggestions?  Thank.

Ergos for me are about the same as the 75 series, which is good for me.
 the thing is a bit larger but still fits me very well.
MY 97BD is  almost as accurate as my best 1911.
I don't see me getting rid of the 97 for sure.

The 1911 and 97 are both very nice full size .45s. I wouldn't say one is better than the other, they're just different. Both are very accurate and fun to shoot, if you don't like the TRP get rid of it. I'd say try the 97 before you buy, it is a big gun and won't fit everyone.

The 97 is a big gun and does slightly shadow the 1911. That said I would take my 97 over any 1911 I've ever handled any day. The 97 is an excellent gun as it comes and with some well picked CGW mods you can have a .45 who's accuracy rivals 1911's costing 3 times as much.

I would echo this comment.  I wear 2XL gloves, and the 97B is a great fit for me.  I enjoy shooting the 97B more than my 1911.  It is just as accurate and has much less felt recoil.  That being said, it is a big gun.  The new ones with the thin aluminum grips fit a wider variety of hand sizes, but check one out before you buy.

Thank you for all the advice. As i said, I have never seen one for sale, rent, or otherwise in the wild so I don't know if it will fit.  I have larger hands, so I am hopefully.  I'll keep checking the gun shows, it is the season for them in Florida right now.

Shooting them side by side, the cz shoots softer than a 1911 (for me). The cz is a couple of ounces heavier than a regular 1911. I can't hit much with a 1911, but appear to be a good shot with the cz, which is why I don't own any 1911s now.

I live in northwest Florida and i just bought a BD at a LGS near me. A week later she had another ready in the case. My friend that got me hooked on CZ's convinced the owners to start stocking them and she has. I haven't shot it yet my Son's birthday is Friday and I'm going to let him have the first rounds with it.

I have small/medium hands. Out of the box the 97 was slightly too large for me. With LOK Thin Bogies and the CGW Reach Reduction Kit, the 97 fits me just fine. As far as accuracy goes, get the CGW "nose job" (1911/97 barrel bushing modification, $190) and then compare it to any of your 1911s.
