Slide Lock P-07
« on: October 04, 2017, 01:12:18 PM »
I just purchased a P-07.  I realized immediately that the slide will not lock back unless there is a magazine inserted, unlike other firearms I have where the slide will lock back even without a magazine inserted. I did not know if this is normal for CZ handguns or something I should contact CZ about?

Thanks

There is nothing wrong with the gun and none of my pistols lock the slide back unless either an empty mag is inserted or I manually operate the slide lock while drawing back the slide. I own many CZ's and various other semi auto pistols.
What pistols do you have that operate otherwise?

Si vis has a point, are you talking about manual operation? It should lock back without a magazine when slide is pulled back and slide lock pressed up

I own a few (M&P's in 9 and .40, Glock in .357 SIG, XDMs in 9, Browning in 9, Colts in .45 acp, CZ's in 9 and .40) and none of them lock back unless there is an empty magazine in them - that is, if you just pull the slide to the rear and release it.

If you don't have a magazine in them you can pull the slide back, push upwards on the slide lock while letting the slide go forward and then the slide lock will also keep the slide held to the rear.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?
