I just traded a P-07 to buy another Phantom. I looked real hard at the P-09, but there a couple of things that made me go all Phantom. The grip angle and its texture--the best in any polymer auto that I've shot and owned (former Glock fan-boy here). I should also mention the trigger on the Phantom seems better than the P-07/9.
I like the placement and reward direction of the de-cocker, over the opposite direction of the P-07/9. This aspect is important because I like to have all of the controls working the same way with each gun--creating muscle memory.
The Phantom can use Mec Gar 17-round mags ($24) which are cheaper than the P-07/9 (P-07 $32-35, P-09 $43), the original 18-round Phantom mags cost $43.
And finally, the Phantom just fits my hand better than the P-07/9, very easy for my small girlish hands to reach the mag release, de-cocker, and slide release -- the Phantom is a great choice, and it shoots good, accurate, nice trigger, soft and manageable recoil, its become my favorite all time auto.
PS -- I should also mention that I really like the "old school CZ 75" technology over the P-series autos, just my preference.
