Dawson Black Rear Sight P-01 vs SP-01

Trying to find an all black rear sight that works with the standard Trudot tritium 5.5mm front sight.

According to their website for the P-01 and .150" tall front sight they recommend the .240 tall. I have this combination and with the Trudot tritium 5.5 front, it's spot on at 10 yards.

However for the SP-01 and .150" tall front sight the only option is a recommended .205 Tall. I also have this combination and my POA/POI is about 2" low at 10 yards.

Thinking of ordering the P-01 rear sight for the SP-01. Really like this rear sight but if they are spot on with the P-01 why are they off on the SP-01? Anyone else have this problem?

I'm seeing two different sku numbers for the Tru-Dot front tritium sights by Meprolight. For the SP-01 ML17777F.S and the P-01 ML17775F.S

Does anyone know if these are different heights and interchange? SP-01 should be standard 5.5mm.

Originally thought both used the same front sight.

For those who may be following this thread,  I spoke with a tech at MAKO the US distributor for Meprolight.

Yes there is a height difference for the SP-01 Tru-Dot vs P-01.

The SP-01 Tru-Dot has an installed height of 4.4mm

The P-01 has an installed height of 4.1MM
