P-o7 duty problem !
« on: January 21, 2018, 10:20:18 AM »
Hi everyone,

Im desperately looking for some advice about my cz po7 Duty. after I hit about 5000 rounds I noticed when I try hitting targets further out and pulling the trigger very slowly the trigger then acts like a decocker, and decocks the pistol. The pistol has the manual safety installed not the decocker. My question is which part must I replace to fix it(the sear, the disconnector etc.). I've completely stripped the pistols firing mechanism and upon inspection apart from some minor wear due to shooting everything looks fine. I would appreciate any help, I can replace it myself I'm just afraid of buying something unnecessarily.

Action has worn in and the tolerances have moved in the wrong direction.

Solution is in the "roller".

I've had something similar happen in my P09 a few times, I THINK.

When the hammer is back in SA, I will pull the trigger, it released the hammer, and as I let the trigger move forward, the hammer drops to half cock until I let go.

If I leave my finger still on the trigger after the hammer has released it will say in position sitting, if I pull on the trigger it will go back as if going into SA.

Hasn't happened enough for me to try and do anything about it, but it wounds like what you are saying.

Jan: Schmeky aka David from CGW is probably right about the roller.
You have two options: 1. Order the appropriate recommended roller from CGW (call them) and put the roller in yourself.
2. If you don't want to work on the pistol yourself, send it to CGW and he can not only fix that problem, but also upgrade the whole works for you ...like a short reset for your trigger, hammer to improve the SA and all the other upgrades that we are eventually going to talk you into getting anyway ;D Gee, now that I think of it, that's not a bad idea!

Also, if you order the roller, it is important to measure yours first - they are currently sold in three different sizes and you want one the same or slightly bigger than the one you are replacing.

I had the same problem on my P-09 and I thought it was the trigger bar spring.  I bent it back up a little and the problem hasn't happened for (I think) about a year.

I'm not arguing the prior post by Scheky because he really knows his stuff but you might check that.

Yep mine did the same thing after about 2k rnds with a CGW hammer and spring kit installed. Once the action wore in real good it would drop the hammer to decock in S/A. Installed the .220 roller and has nearly 10k through it now,no issues.

Mine did it before I took tension off the trigger bar spring and after. It doesn't happen a lot. I have to be pulling the trigger so insanely slow that it is impossible to replication on purpose.

Yes, I'm anxious to hear the remedy here.  My P-09 hasn't done it for a while now but I never could get it to do it, my daughter could.  Her trigger control is better than mine!
