Lately I have been shooting other pistols. First I shot my Bersa Thunder Pro UC9 carry pistol. It is a joy to shoot. The SA trigger is so good that there's little or no room to improve it. Very light and crisp with a tiny take-up and a short reset for suceeding shots. Love the sights and it puts'em into a single hole.
Then I went to my full size Bersa 9mm, the Thunder Pro High Capacity. But its SA trigger pull isn't as good as the UC. It is a work in progress. I am waiting for a spring to arrive to see if I can improve the HC.
Also shot my Bersa Thunder .380 Sunday Go-To-Church pistol. It is accurate and has a nice SA pull, but .380 ACP really isn't my idea of the best defense cartridge, even with today's super-bullets. It is better than a sharp stick, but not as good as 9mm with HST's.
Then I shot a pistol which rhymes with "Block" and pretty much looks like one too. It shot OK. I do like the Goal Post and big white dot sights on my old Glock 17 for my old eyes.
Today I shot my Cajunized P-07 with factory night sights. Smallest group of them all. Best trigger pull of them all. Easiest to hit with--although the shorter Bersa UC9 gives just about any handgun a run for its money.
I ordered the Dawson fiber optic sights for my P-07 from CGW; but I sent them back and David (Schmecky) was kind enough to take them back because they are not really holster friendly for concealed carry draw from IWB. Too high and hooky like most pistol sights are for a clean draw from a holster past clothing.
The Sig X-Ray front sight on their new Sig 365 is what I am looking for to put on my P-07 (or some similar front sight). It is super visible, day or night--even for my old eyes.
