sights for the 97b
« on: June 29, 2018, 05:08:13 PM »
Hi EVERYONE

New here, well sorta. long time lurka. I finally got my first CZ and its a 97B. I now understand what everyone here has been saying about these pistols. Out of the box without any mods it is one of my most accurate pistols. This is just with two types of ammo and my reloads. I haven't even begun to tune the ammo to the gun yet. I intend to squeeze every ounce of accuracy out of this pistol. It will be taking a trip to CGW probably in the fall but for the short term I would like to replace the sights with adj ones. I did a search and alot of info seems to be several years old. I prefer a white outline or dots for my rear and either keep the front fiber optic or get a new one. Fusion makes sights that would fit a 75 and I'm told would fit a 97 with little to no gunsmiting involved. Anyone have any ideas in which direction I should go. Thanks

Cajun Gun Works installed a CZ Tactical Sport rear sight on my 97B.

Don't have 3 dots, but if anyone can help you, it's CGW.

Not white outline, or dots....but it is adjustable.  And super easy to install yourself.

Works very well.  MUCH better than stock.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm going to mull it over during the summer. Having a blast with this pistol. Just about finished reloading another 250 rounds of 185gr flatpoints that shoot really well in the 97.

The competition rear from CGW works great too.

i just installed CGW adjustable on my CZ 97B. Just a little fitting of the front and rear is all it took. Very easy to install. The set comes with a .170T X .90W FO front but it was a little short for my needs. Shooting 230 grain bullets at Major PF required a .215 front from Dawson to zero the gun at 20 yards and provide some adjustability of the rear. It was 2.5" high with my gaming load above and about 1.5" high with some 185 grain HP's with the rear cranked all the way down. My Cousin has a vast variety of these sights in stock so finding the right one was easy. i hope this post saves someone else some time.
Here is what they look like installed. The CGW rear is a massive chunk of steel, built like a tank. Very positive detents on the adjustments with a solid pin in the hinge, should last a lifetime of shooting.

Thanks. I will consider these when the time comes. Right know I'm breaking her in. Shot over 200 rounds so far.
