I modified my trigger pull by installing the Tanfoglio sear spring and upped the main spring.  It increased the pull weight by ~.5 lb, I don't think that will get you enough for a 1kg pull?  How do they measure the trigger pull in competition?  How are you measuring your trigger pull?  Here is my thread that discussed my results:

http://www.czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=86250.msg645137#msg645137

My gun came with a 2.2 lb (1kg) trigger pull.  I thought that was too light, I would be performing the double sear spring mod if it came from the factory with a 1.5 lb trigger.

Cheers,
Toby

Yea mine is ridiculous at .625 lbs or 10 ounces now... and no that's not 1.65lbs lol, its just .65. Originally it was .36lbs or 5.6ounces!

I am going to try the tanfoglio sear spring and hopefully that helps. otherwise im sending it back to the factory for warranty work. The pull weight now is entirely too dangerous even for a seasoned shooter, something isnt right. The double sear thing may help but thats just too much finagling for my liking. In competition they arent measuring the trigger pull at all for us, it's just a matter of what is reasonable for safety and my personal preference. I do prefer triggers in the 1.5-2lb range.

i am using a digital trigger scale and using it with the gun in a vice for an accurate reading.

The part that really is upsetting is that I contacted CZ and they said ?it?s normal and not anything that i would worry about but if you want to send it in you can?

I?m just shocked at that reply... anyone that has been shooting competition guns for even a short time knows that anything under 1/2 pound or 1lb is borderline unsafe or at the very least not normal.

King,

Is your sear clearing the hammer hooks, meaning is the overtravel screw adjusted properly?  If you pull and hold the trigger and rock the hammer back and forth, does the sear touch the hammer hooks?

I just tested what you mentioned holding the trigger and rocking the hammer. I did not see any engagement with the hammer and sear in doing so.

You may want to inspect the sear to see if it's rounded at all.  It should have a sharp edge and not look dull.

How are you testing your trigger pull?  In the middle?  Averaging the top and bottom of the trigger?

Cheers,
Toby
