Basically if you have the safety up then the slide won't rack.

So it's pointless anyway.

I was thinking that I can chamber a round, carefully drop the hammer, then flip safety up and carry in this way. When needed, flip the safety down and fire in DA. Would be safer than locked and loaded in my mind.
