Quick way? Remove the slide from the frame, remove the barrel/recoil spring/guide.
Put on some safety glasses. Get a can of brake cleaner, stick the little clear tube in the nozzle, make sure you're outside, spray the brake cleaner into the firing pin hole. Spray, look at the crud coming out, spray some more. When the crud stops flowing out it's pretty clean inside.
Then you've got to get some lube/oil back in there on the metal surfaces to keep stuff from rusting. I use Rem-oil for that but once I'm satisfied the rem-oil is on the metal surfaces inside I use my regular lube for lubrication.
If you want to tear it apart and inspect the parts, watch those videos. The more times you do it, the easier it becomes.
If you're going to tear it down, might as well get a new firing pin retaining pin from Cajun Gun Works to replace the original.
