So I found myself in this handgun class at Front Sight with my trusty Cajunized SP-01 with an LPA rear sight. During one of the accuracy drills, the gun performs beautifully, and can make ragged holes easily, but is off by about 1/2" to the right and 1/2" low at 5 yards.
The school is a bit strict that they will not students shoot unsupervised and the rangemaster, instructors and coaches are not allowed to shoot with students outside of class, so as far as adjusting then testing the gun myself, that is probably not likely to happen soon.
Well, the skills test is coming up tomorrow and I would like to adjust the sight tonight in the hotel. Does anyone here have a rough idea how to adjust my rear sight to get my point of impact up by 1/2" and to the left also by 1/2"? I figure I'd move the adjustment screws by 2 clicks in each direction might get me a little bit closer to hitting my point of aim. I have the feeling that is nowhere near enough, but I do not have any specifications on the LPA rear sight.
Thanks in advance.
