Tumbler Safety CZ's
« on: March 23, 2018, 01:27:09 PM »
Does anyone know all of the CZ handguns that use tumbler style safeties as opposed to the D style?

The ones I know of are the:

CZ 75 SA
CZ 75 B Stainless
CZ 85C

I'm trying to replace a CZ 75 SA tumbler safety but I'm having trouble finding one as they mostly seem to be the D style.

Thanks

CZs with short dust cover frames have the tumbler style. CZs with full length dust cover frames have the D style.

What kind of safety lever are you trying to track down? The factory paddle safety that comes on the 75 SA or the factory standard safety that comes on the 85b?

Some are OOS right now but keep an eye on them, they'll be back.

if you wanted the smaller CZ 85 style

CZ Custom or CGW may have them, too.  Didn't take the time to go to their web sites to look.

I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Thanks for the info. I'm trying to get the smaller (CZ 75 B style) such as the 85C safety you suggested. They seem to be hard to find though! Thanks for the links. I've been hoping to find someone who prefers the larger style SA safety and maybe wants to trade or sell their old ones. I seem to be in the minority as to wanting the big ones!

Can you explain more which handguns fall into the full dust cover group and which fall into the short dust cover group? I thought all the CZ 75 B's had the same length? (Except for the SP01 family).

The CZ75 SP-01 (safety model), CZ75 SP-01 Shadow & derivative models, CZ Shadow 2, CZ Tactical Sport & derivative models, CZ75 Compact w/ safety & Tac rail ("SP-01 Compact") Make up all of the CZ pistols that use the D style safety levers that i am aware of.

All of the other CZ pistols with the classic 75 trigger system and Ambi safetys use the tumbler style safety levers. CZ75B 40 S&W, CZ75 SA, CZ85B, CZ85 Combat are some examples.

Thank you for all the information. I'm trying hard to track down a tumbler safety (I have a WTB classified open hoping to track one down here). They are frustratingly hard to find!
