BEST Trigger Job
« on: March 09, 2018, 12:11:10 PM »
Hey guys. I?m ready to upgrade my trigger since I got my replacement trigger pack.

Who?s the best company for a trigger job?

I?m considering HB Industries or Shooter?s Element.

I already have the trigger I want (HB Indistries DELTA), but I need to send it in to someone who will install it, polish and replace springs.

If there?s someone better than these 2 companies lemme know.

Whoever I go with - I?d like proven reliability as to not have issues long after the job is done.

I can?t help you with your specific question but maybe try iron your own. I did and it?s not that hard and you learn a lot about your gun. Mine came out awesome. I?m very happy with it.

The HB spring is ok don't bother with a polishing the trigger. The absolute best trigger is the CZ Custom Shop trigger pack along with a HB Theta trigger, dropped trigger pull down to @ 4 lbs and a trigger reset that is nothing short of spectacular. When comparing to Geissele, ELF etc it's in the same ballpark. Just my 2 cents worth.

For the economic and easy way, the HBi is great. Mine got cut in half from factory. It was a gritty 11 or so pounds, now sits at about 5 or so pounds. Clean, happy with the job for now.

Imho the best trigger job is an HB Industries spring kit and lots of range time. Mine is buttery smooth and about 4-5lbs without any polishing. I don't think a trigger job will do much for the long pre travel and reset.

The take up and over travel can be taken out with shims if you trust glueing them in place. Or if you can weld small beads then file them down to make everything work like I did.  I got rid of all the over travel and most of the take up.

I went the welded route on mine. Worked great, now it's twice as hungry as it was unmodified. Makes everybody smile that gets behind the trigger.

The parts are $221. I couldn't tell you how much it would cost to have CZC install them.

This is the route I took, too and it was simple, cheap, and easy. I went the shim route and it's made a huge difference for about $20-$30 total invested (shims, jb weld, and springs).

I polished, too, but it really didn't make much of a difference.

Can I throw Shooters Element's hat into the ring for best bang for your buck. Either with a trigger or the trigger install and polish I offer. Hard to beat a crisp 4 lb trigger for $93.94 with turn times in a week or less (price includes trigger, spring kit, install, polish and tune and free shipping).

I am interested n the Shooters Element process but does your mod deal with the travel length. Also, I spoke with SE at length recently and never once was free shipping mentioned. How does one avail themselves of the free shipping option? Please address both questions

Yes we address some of the overall travel of the trigger in the polish and tune up job. The goal is to return a lighter, more crisp breaking trigger to the consumer and in doing so the travel is reduced somewhat. I don't want to make a claim that it's like a drop in single stage match trigger but a much more improved trigger that still maintains the reliability you depend on from CZ.

As for the free shipping, there no special codes or gimmicks you have to jump through. Just place and order that's more than $89.99 and select free shipping at check out. There's a little banner on the site with the same info and the trigger package most customers go with (trigger, install + polish, spring kit) runs $93.94 so shipping back to you is free (please note we do not cover the shipping to us for the install, kind of a given but figured I should put it here too).

I hope that answers the questions you have.
