P10c suppressor ready reliability issues?
« on: April 19, 2018, 10:22:17 PM »
Does anyone have experience with the suppressor ready P10cs? It seems like the first batch of them had some teething issues. Would like to know if the issues have been resolved.

Hi everyone. I've been a long time lurker on this forum, but this is my first post.

I wanted to try a polymer CZ and just added a P-10 Compact suppressor ready to my growing CZ collection and took it out for it's first outing just the other day. I can't say anything about long term reliability, but with about 150 rounds through mine so far, it's been flawless. I've had zero problems with anything on it. I expect it to be another fine CZ pistol, just like my Shadow 2, Shadow Orange, and the TSO which is on it's way to the FFL.

Even though it did operate flawlessly, it wasn't without a couple of small problems. For one thing, like I've heard mentioned before, the trigger pinches my finger after a few rounds. I may give it some time to see if I adjust to it, or I may put in either the Cajun Gun Works trigger, or the HB Industries trigger. I've heard both are excellent.
The second problem is also minor, but really an annoyance. The suppressor version comes with a Plus 2 on the magazine which increases the round count to 17. There is a small gap between the magazine and the grip that just happens to be where my small finger rests when gripping the gun. Evidently when I shoot the gun, the magazine moves a little and actually pinches my finger. There's really no other way to grip the pistol that will move my finger away from that gap. I've never had that problem with any other pistol I've owned regardless of brand or model and I'm not sure what can be done.

But as far as reliability so far, my P-10 C suppressor ready has been absolutely perfect. The trigger pull measures out to be about 4 lb 10 oz. It's a little heavy, but already improving. I know it will never match a Shadow 2, but it's not bad for a polymer striker fire pistol. It's very precise with no creep and a clean break. Also I've heard many people comment about the stiff magazine release button, Mine takes more effort than my other CZ's, but it isn't bad and it too is improving with usage.  I'll know more as the round count goes up, but I see nothing to worry about.

Only issues I have seen were related to the fact that the guns are too over sprung from the factory for shooting subs reliably with a can. Swap to 13lb spring for shooting subsonic with a suppressor and you're set.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm leaning a bit towards a P07 for suppressor duties but those mag prices...
