BLUE GRIPS, Shadow 2 ??

are the blue griped Shadow 2's still being produced or are they a older special run. I found one but don't want a gun made in 2014...

According to their website the pistol called the "CZ Shadow 2 Blue" was a limited run and is discontinued.  It has been replace by the "CZ Shadow 2 Black & Blue" SKU 91257 which exactly looks to be the same pistol, IMHO.  If there is nothing wrong with the firearm and the price is reasonable, why not consider it. It does not have night sight which would be the only thing to degrade over time.  Anyways if it is new it will still be covered by warranty from CZ.

now I see CZ has discontinued the Shadow 2 BLACK  and the Blue both SKU 91257

New is the "Black and Blue" with blue grips but SAME SKU 91257 !!!

This thread might clear up the difference between the original Shadow 2 Blue and the new Shadow 2 Black & Blue.

I seem remember that CZ intended the original Shadow 2 Blue to only have a nitride finished frame (no polycoat) same with the slide but had to discontinue production because it was next to impossible to source frames without any blemishes for nitride finishing.

It appears the CZ brought back the Shadow 2 with the blue grips but decided to apply a polycoat over the nitride finish of the frame and call it the Shadow 2 Black & Blue.
