KVP Linear Comp

So I recently ordered a KVP linear comp for my scorpion. I've looked everywhere and can find anything about attaching it. Do I need to do anything other than screw off the OEM muzzle device and screw on the comp? Also what type of thread locker are you guys using, I noticed the thread protector under the muzzle device came loose from firing. Any info would help.

You might need a barrel nut tool to remove the flash hider tab. Thinking of ordering one myself to replace my flash hider with a comp and possibly a handguard. Midwest Industries has this one https://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/MI-CZ-Scorpion-Pistol-Barrel-Nut-Socket-p/mi-czsw.htm.

Thinking about, it, you might be able to snap that little clip off.

So got some feedback and another guy showed me a pic of his comp and he left the tab on and it doesn't effect the KVP. So luckily no need to remove the barrel nut or anything. Im not trying to get too crazy with mods just tired of powder burns on my fingers from the OEM muzzle device.

I have an FDE KVP on my AR-9. I love it. The slight shove is straight backwards. Finish is very nice. Rifle shoots flat. I could transfer over but, it matches the hardware for that device. Trying a shooters element comp on my scorpion for now.

So, I got it all together, no range report yet I want to make sure I get some O rings on the thread protector before I do so it doesn't back off while I'm shooting. Any recommendations on a good heat resistant o rings?

just got mine today.Very simple to change if I can't fix it with a hammer & duct tape I am in trouble.  Just screwed off by hand.  Thanks for all the help.  Chops
