Cz SP-01 trigger reset issue. At loss here!
« on: March 25, 2018, 12:28:21 PM »
Canonized cz with 20,000 rounds through it ran flawlessly. Then suddenly trigger will not reset after firing and slide cycling. Gun was stripped cleaned and all springs checked. Nothing broken. There is no pre travel screw. DA works and resets if dry firing every time. If I manually cock hammer trigger releases. With slide removed i inspected trigger bar movement and it is smooth. The trigger bar spring is in place. I inspected bar for burrs or anything that would hang up on the dico.  If I manually push trigger foreword it will reset but is very stiff and no positive click sound. The trigger doesn't visibly move forward. If I move the sear cage firing block lifter arm up trigger resets. It is acting like the trigger would when you are hand fitting a new disconnter except this one has thousands of rounds through it already. Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks!!

Trigger return spring?  It may just be worn out.

Update. I'm not sure the trigger bar is.riding where it should be. If I hold it to the frame the same side as the disconnecter ear is and release the trigger it resets. So I think either the trigger bar is shifting or maybe the disco is....

Or maybe the trigger bar spring is not centered/riding right in the trigger bar 'slots' on the bottom.  It sometimes also slips between the bar and the frame which can bind.

I did check to make sure it is riding in the slots under the bar and it is. When pulling or releasing the trigger they stay right where they are suppose to.

Then maybe it is the disconnector like you mentioned.  It sounds like the pistol has quite a bit of mileage on it.

Or maybe the trigger bar springs don?t have the right pressure to them. When you pop them out of the groove, how far up the trigger bar do they sit? IIRC they should both be about 1/8? up the trigger bar. But my memory could be wrong. Give CGW a call in the morning, they?ll probably have the fix.
