Inverted slide rails....Spanish style

Star model 30M....modified/updated from the model 28 which was one of the entries in the first round of the XM9 trials. This one is heavy at around 37.4 oz without the magazine (about 5 oz heavier than a CZ 75).
The lever on the slide is a safety. It does not decock the hammer. Instead, dropping the lever moves the firing pin forward and causes it to be recessed behind a block. Pull the trigger and the hammer safely drops. Swing the lever up and it?s in DA ready mode. It has the usual heavy DA for a service pistol. The SA is short and crisp as well as the reset. It has a magazine disconnect. Nice shooter at the usual distances. Only had time for five rounds at the 25 yard bullseye. Placed two in the bullseye including one dead center. It should do the job if the shooter does the part.
Safety engaged below.....firing pin recessed.

Nice condition! The trigger guard has a more pronounced "squared" shape than the BM model (among other variations). Looks like it's fun to shoot..and accurate.

Yes, they are available in the States (Interarms); just not as common as the BM9s. Besides being heavy, the rubbery feeling grips make for one very fat grip.
