CZ 75 B ? Convertible in Urban Grey
« on: February 07, 2018, 11:55:33 AM »
I love the CZ 75B in Urban Grey, but the only way to do that (factory) is to get the suppressor-ready version.  Realistically, I'm not going to suppress this thing, so the threaded barrel and tall sights are wasted on me, personally<flamesuit on>

So here's what I'm thinking....

If I purchase the CZ 75 B ? Urban Grey Suppressor-Ready (91235), would anyone out there with a 75B want to swap barrels and sights with me? I'm obviously assuming that the threaded barrel can be moved to another 75B w/o fitting.

My proposal would be to send our slides to someone to do the sight swap, and then trade barrels.  Supplier of stock barrel and sights pays for the sight swap and shipping costs, plus (maybe) some $xx for the threaded barrel?

Crazy idea? Thoughts?

Mods - Apologies in advance if this is outside forum rules, not sure how else to make this proposal.

One problem is that the serial number is on the barrel. It seems a bit of a problem to me, anyway. Then again, I live in a gun unfriendly (but ironically easy to obtain a CC Permit) state.

Yeah I didn't think about the barrel S/N but does that mean each barrel is fitted by CZ and this is unlikely to work?

Slide and barrel S/N means nothing in the US. Only the S/N on the frame is what counts.

Legally, yes.  Buyers don't like seeing unmatched serial numbers...

At least I don't.

I bought an HK VP9 LE with an aftermarket threaded barrel, but it included the stock barrel so I was ok with that purchase.

Got my Urban Grey last Thursday, used. Didn?t notice until I got it home that the front Tritium sight is out. Have to call in to CZ to check warranty coverage.
