CCW a shadow Target II? Or maybe not with the lack of firing pin safety block?

Still an inertia firing pin so much safer than the old solid pin resting against the round in the chamber.

Like carrying older 1911.

Size is an issue for most,  but in DA it could be okay with the stock model set-up for an experienced shooter.  I believe in SA it's not a safe carry pistol.

Pretty much the same as carrying a Series 70 1911 (or early Hi-Power)....at least in SA.  DA might add a level of safety.

Sorry, but why is that DA would be safer then? Wouldn?t a cocked hammer help block a hit getting passed to the pin in case of a drop (or also keep the pin further back)?

True, but some feel safer in general having a longer/heavier first pull than even a locked single action when carrying.  Plus, there's still the half-cocked position with a somewhat shorter but still long da pull, so that would keep the hammer off the pin for carry.

My competition hammer hooks are not resting well up into the sear.  I do draw and shoot in competition.  In a panic drawing the big gun and reaching for the safety ,  adds another task while drawing.   In DA,  there is a little heavier longer trigger pull with no other task than draw, point and pull the trigger.  Train the way you carry.  The OPs pistol is nicely tuned for competition with a DA first shot in USPSA/IPSC stock auto.  Carry the way you train.

Each shooter has to make the personal decision.  Some want a SA with a safety,  some want the decocker and others prefer the DA option.

I shoot a DA/SA Sig in both IDPA/SSP and USPSA/Production, which is good training for the DA first pull.  Very comfortable with it, and one of my carry guns is a CZ PCR.  However, since I shoot pretty much only SAO guns for IDPA/ESP and USPSA/Limited, I also feel that I'd be pretty comfortable carrying cocked-n'-locked.  But those guns in particular are bigger and heavier, and have very light triggers so I wouldn't want to actually carry those.

But if someone was looking to carry a shadow, I'd recommend them just getting a CZ 75 Compact, which they could pretty has the same manual of arms as a Shadow but is easier to conceal.  Or a PCR/SP-01 that's even lighter in weight, but have dockers rather than manual safeties.

On the other hand,  if I happened to have my Loaded  Shadow on my hip and a SD situation arose,  my odds of stopping the threat would be maximized.
