After many months of procrastinating, I finally gave my Gen 4 Glock 19 back to a friend of mine to finish things up after he originally did the high undercut on the trigger guards while back (he is a diesel mechanic by trade at the shop in KY that my company sends our trucks to).
Anyway, the finishing mods he performed were removal of the finger grooves, a very mild grip reduction to eliminate as much of the backstrap hump without having to do any cutting or remolding, a very aggressive stipple pattern, and polishing the internals, reducing my trigger pull to 7 1/2# (I have the NY1 Spring installed). What a noticeable difference In the handling of the pistol now!
For starters, it now points much more natural for me (though still not as natural as my CZ 100), the rough stippling really locks the pistol into my hand - dry or wet, and the lack of finger grooves combined with the high undercut makes it so much easier for me to get a proper grip, especially when drawing from the holster and/or during one-handed operation.
Other mods I?ve done are the OEM Glock Front Serrated slide, extended slide lock lever, and Tru Glo TFX Pro FO/Tritium sights. Now all I need is a TLR-1 HL and new Stealthgear holster?
