Pin stuck in HBi trigger?

Been trying to install the Theta trigger I bought for my P-10. Couldn?t seem to get the big pin back through the trigger; would enter just a little and get stuck without using a hammer. Took the trigger out to try the pin straight on the trigger, still no luck. Called HBi, and they were very helpful, saying the anodizing may be too think, and they sent me a replacement. But I can?t get this one on either...

Before I call them back and potentially look like more of an idiot than I already am, has anyone else run into this and have any suggestions?

Well you are putting the pin in from the correct side, due to the spring on the left side. That a good start.

When I've put the trigger pin in, I press down on the locking block and then it pops right in. You should not have to drive that pin in with a hammer, if everything is lined up properly.

Try putting the pin through the HBI trigger outside of the pistol. You'll know then if it's a issue with the trigger. If so, I'd just open up the hole slightly.

Thanks for the help. Yeah I tried with the trigger outside the pistol with the same result. I spoke with HBi again, and we?re guessing the factory stop pin may be a little bigger than normal or have some defect. In any event they?re working to get me squared away. Can?t wait to get this trigger on, from what I?ve handled so far it feels great!

Yes, I really like my HBI trigger. I felt the factory trigger was acceptable, but the HBI trigger is way nicer. I used the 3 pound striker spring and it works really well for me also.
