99041 conversion to .40 S&W
« on: June 11, 2018, 01:04:25 PM »
So these new factory mags that hold either 9mm or .40 S&W got me thinking, it's nice to only have one mag for both guns in case .40 goes back to being cheaper than 9mm. I tried getting a P-06 and a Compact 40 on the auction sites, but those get too rich for my blood. Then I got to thinking can a P-06 barrel be fitted to the 99041? Is this feasible or should I just give it up and wait for a P-06 to drop in my lap?

The 9mm breach face is too small for .40S&W. You'll need to start with a .40 slide and fit a 9mm SP01 barrel. I have a P-06 for sale in the classified forum.  8)

Ah yes, completely forgot about the breechface. All my dual set ups are 40 to 9 converts. Thanks. I shouldn't post when I'm sick. lol
