That's right.  Only when all else fails, read the owners manual.  The manual certainly won't cover (or advise) some really awesome modiifications that can be made.  Everything in Engineering design has a tradeoff.  When said tradeoff is merely a lawyer's influence in the original design, it usually is well worth it!  For instance, I've noticed a little bit of rust developing on my lawnmower deck under the "do not cut your hair with this machine" label.  Certainty the lawyers can help to make an inferior product!

Back on track ,If I'm not mistaken there are other hammers (maybe the competion hammer?) That maintain the inability to stick the safety on in DA mode, yet still work wonders to the trigger pull.  I don't have one of those (yet).

The change in the safety function has been discussed hundreds of times for years.

See our part number "RHK" on our website where this is discussed.  The CZ design has a lock work idiosyncrasy, being the sears angle when any performance hammer is installed, CGW, CZC, CZ-UB factory hammer, etc.

As long as the safety works in the SA mode, then all is well.

Thanks for pointing out the explanation on the website. It answers my question.

Thought about doing something similar to my Rami BD. However, I think I will probably list it for sale and opt for a compact. I just like the way the feel much better.
