My worst P0X trigger was, without a doubt, the .40 S&W P09.

Still better than either of my steel framed P01 looking CZ75 Compacts, my Pre B CZ85, my first CZ75 Compact, well, I could keep typing but the only CZ I bought with a better trigger than the P0X guns is my .40 S&W Tactical Sport and it's so light/short/crisp/sweet it's just scary if your don't dry fire it some first to get used to it.

I've put some money/time in parts/polishing on a couple/three of my metal framed CZ's and they are better than the P0X guns now.

I guess I got lucky.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Just got back from the range, and the P09 is certainly impressive. I shot it as good or better than any of CZ I own, minus the Shadow 2. I absolutely love this gun, especially for sub-$400. Incredible. Makes me wonder how I went this long without adding one to the stable. I also shot my P07 Tactical better today than I have in the past few range trips, the polymer CZ?s really shined today.

Good times. All in all, sent probably north of 550 rounds down range today, a mix of 115gr and 124gr (only 124gr thru Shadow 2?s, everything else ate a mix of both)

The reset on the P09 is certainly the longest of any CZ I own. That will have to be remedied. Outside of that, it?s as good as any CZ in my opinion, S2 excluded (S2 is like cheating, it?s effortless)

The .45 and the Scorpion were the only two CZ?s that didn?t make the trip today. Next week, the 97 and FN 5.7 will replace the two polished beauties for range fun, and the Sig and 44 magnum Revolver will come along as well, just to make sure everyone on other lanes are awake.  O0

Congrats! I?m going to add a P09 also for 3gun next year. It?s insane value for the money. I see some killer deals starting up on these now. Oh and I would definitely recommend Cajunizing that puppy!

They are indeed great pistols for the money - or better, just great pistols.

Reset is all over the map.  I have a stock P09 (only spring changes) and it has a shorter reset than one of my P07s with SR Kit.  It depends on the parts combination.  These are production guns.

Sounds like you got a good trigger - great!

I still find the P07 easier to draw onto target from concealment, but these are still great.

While barrel to slide fit is excellent, they are not as tight as say a SIG - I think the accuracy comes from the superior dwell time.  Pull your slide back and see how much travel you get before the barrel hood drops.  Amazing.  This also helps reduce felt recoil.
